working on issue four at our table because we are

overdue.
37:36
But I think that translating from that fan space to a creator space, I feel like I, one, still want to be on the internet being like, and if you don't put Storm in a better Marvel Rivals skin, I'm going to get you all.
37:47
But we can't.
37:48
But I can't say that anymore.
37:50
But the other piece of that is just, Right.
37:54
Right.

So I want to know what has been the most rewarding experience for you in developing a monthly comic in which you're telling these different styles that's so different from your other both fan work and your other like graphic novel traditionally published stuff.
19:47
I love your art.
19:48
Thank you so much.
19:49
Yeah, that's, that's totally my, my I think journey is that I think a lot of folks have associated me with kind of the YA space, which is w- not unintentional.
19:57
I, I draw a lot of characters that are smiling.
20:00
Um, especially, you know, years ago I think my art was just a lot softer and rounder, which was totally intentional.
20:06
Um, but then I think of how I've been trying to kind of push it in the last year, especially with this project, um, and thinking about just, like, what kind of pushes more maturity into that while not losing the essence of this still feeling soft and still feeling feminine, which are kind of overarching traits to my work.
20:26
Um, and that's something that Connor and I discussed a lot when going into this project, and going into horror in general.

Um, okay, as we're wrapping up, what can people look forward to when it comes to Mimi Green? And I'd love to hear a little bit about some of your aspirations as comic book professionals, if you'd like to share.
68:26
Mm-hmm.
68:27
Yeah, it's, it's fun that Firestar sees the trajectory of her own life as not a failure necessarily, but, like, she couldn't have planned for the things that got thrown in her way.
68:40
Which does...
68:41
You know, we've talked a lot about that, like, she had all the makings to be a very A-list female superhero, and kind of just kept getting put in stories that really traumatized her and, and fucked up that trajectory.
68:54
So this is also a fun kind of nod to that direction, that she's like, "Stuff really didn't work out the way I expected," and she's dealing with the thick of it right now.
69:05
And then to be kind of compared with somebody who stayed on this very human track and has been such a rancid bitch about it, but also is, like, watching their life kind of spiral down in a dark, twisted mirror version of Angelica's life, I think it lifts the story at the end there in just this sense that she is more influential and has more of an impact in the world around her than she's maybe giving herself credit for.

Love it.
174:33
But she's also making these ultimatums of, "It's Ultron or me.
