Yeah, I think it was just kind of a constant battle for me.

That was something that was kind of, honestly, on the back of my mind ever since I first got here.

It's like, hey, there's like negative thoughts.

How am I supposed to be here? Blah, blah, this and that.

And then I really at a certain point, I said, man, let me just go out there and play.

And whatever happens, it's in God's hands.

Is there anything like a normal fan might not, you know, usually think of or understand about playing a defense as good as the Broncos?

How did it go?

Yeah, today was great.

The main focus of today was really just being strong, being physical and just starting off faster.

We know coming off the Saints joint, that was just something that was an emphasis and immediately from the get-go that's that was our focus and that's what we did today so I was really happy about the physicality that we kind of set the tone with making plays left and right and so it was a real productive day for sure.

A lot of juice early on both sides.

No doubt yeah like I said these joints are definitely fun and I know we have a lot this year and so being a rookie it's a little weird at first like hey we got to play y'all but we doing a little joint practice before, but I've really been enjoying it.

I think it just helps bringing that juice and that competitive edge even more, getting ready for the game on Friday.

Your comfort level from when you got here, rookie minicamp, to now being two days away from playing Carolina at night, where is it?

What knowledge have you gained from those guys here early

on? Yeah, those guys, they just have a wealth of knowledge, and they're not really afraid to share.

I'd say especially my guy Parker, whenever we're doing different drill work, Whenever we're doing different routes, whenever you see something in my routes, he's always coming up to me, always telling me this and that on what I can do, what I can correct.

Same with BT and Jacob.

All of them have a wealth of knowledge, and then whenever I ask something, like I said, they're not afraid to just kind of tell me what it is and really just trying to help me get to the best that I can be.

Chip on the shoulder of this draft class a little bit?

I would say chip on the shoulder with whatever you're doing at the end of the day, and that's something I kind of carry with myself.

Yeah, I saw, I guess, a couple of the posts or whatever, but at the end of the day, that's just social media talk, and I'm just out here to kind of do my job and go out, have fun, and make plays at the end of the day.

Going through the pre-draft process, where were your expectations of Jacksonville potentially being on the radar, but also where you were selected?

Yeah, no doubt.

Uh, I think the first time I came to contact with Jacksonville, uh, was at the Senior Bowl where we were doing like the little interviews.

Um, and so I was just kind of telling my agents about the little interviews I had, um, and then they were telling me that Jacksonville was starting to show a little bit of interest and things like that, liked who I am.

Uh, because you know, here they believe in toughness, character, about who you are.

Obviously the play, that speaks for itself, but, uh, just those intangibles, uh, type deals.

So whenever I found out Jacksonville was on the radar, I was just kinda like, "Ooh, that would be pretty cool to be out in Florida," no tax and things like that.

Now are you able to sum that up into words what a Jacksonville Jaguar is?

Uh, we are certainly facing challenges, home starts and closings are, are down, but we're selling more lots than we are starting.

So we are working through that kind of inventory, which has been lengthened for the builders with the slow closing seasons.

So we're seeing this happen.
