Yeah.

So I had some chops, but looking back, I didn't know anything, and the guy was lucky to keep me around because I was young and probably taking up space.

But, um, so slowly building up the gear, right? Busking just for myself, and then I was slowly learning it more and more.

I learned in the studio, I had concepts and I had had these, you know, some chops, but I was doing it on my own now, so it was totally different.

And I was also doing it in my l- tiny little shack in the Sixth Ward of New Orleans, right? Like a little, you know, a little, little mother-in-law house.

You know, I had a couch and I was like, "I don't need a couch." It's like, "This is the studio now." Uh, so slowly building up that gear [lip smacks] and then, uh, slowly learning on my own.

And, um, I'll say another thing, another really, to be honest, like another really lucky thing that happened for me, which was kinda later in this.

Life experience is everything.
