Why did you say yes to this and continue to try to expand your skills in the sense of evaluating cows?

Yeah, so...

I came into college not really, not really thinking I was going to do dairy judging.

I did it in 4-H and I did it through FFA and I was like, you know, I had fun doing it there, but I don't know if it's really my thing.

I didn't know if I wanted to continue doing it and I didn't know if I was cut out to be doing it at a collegiate level.

But coming to college, I kind of got tied into it with being involved with the Dairy Science Club at Iowa State.

So my sophomore year, we had a really good senior team.

How did you get there? Tell us more about kind of the time it took and perhaps some of the strategy and the technique to get there to the highest level.
