When you talked about creativity, I was going to have you kind of dig in and you started to kind of hit that a little bit with, you know, maybe you phase it, maybe you do one at a time over the next... umpteen years um but it feels like there's there's a is some flexibility in there that you know i'm not a mountain mod guy so i don't know what those options are but

yeah i mean i i think matt like what we've been seeing what i've been seeing i think specifically i would say in the last 18 ish months right is you kind of get We get brought in a lot of times on the front end, hey, do an audit, do an eval, give me a bill of health of what we have, right? And I can get – this is very recent.

A condo board where we came in and said, hey, the elevators for what you have, right, they're being well-maintained.

However, everything in this 50-plus high-rise building in like the heart of downtown, all of this stuff is obsolete.

So we're kind of – we're on borrowed time here, right? Right.

And – you get the look from management and, and some of these board members, like, like you have three heads.

Well, we, we didn't know that.

What are two or three things that are different about your paper versus a contractor's paper? How would you show up differently? Yeah.

And so could you just walk us through your thought process when you were speaking to the police, if you can remember? [laughs] Um, you know, it was many years ago, I understand, but what was your mindset looking like when you walked into that interrogation with the police?

So that wasn't the first time, in 2001 wasn't the first time that I was interrogated by the police and was u- and, and fear tactics was used, right? Like, I walked into the interrogation room thinking, uh, uh, uh, like, like, I didn't walk in there thinking like a lawyer, right? Like, or thinking like an adult, uh, uh, like, like, or even, like, someone fully capable of understanding what was going on and what was gonna happen after this talk that I was gonna have with police officers, right? I walked in there thinking about survival.

I was also a foster care child, so our young people have these, uh, uh, uh, these, these contacts with other systems, you know? Um, and, and for me, I had...

My contact was with the f- family policing system, also known as the child welfare system.

And, like, I was thinking to myself, like, "How did I get here?" Even though I'm the one who was arrested for the, the...

I was arrested, you know, uh, uh...

It's like, "How do I get home?" Uh, uh, "How do I make these adults stop pressuring me?" You know, like, these are the type of questions that, you know, I was kind of, like, thinking about and being vulnerable to authority figures, right? In class, in school, they teach you, "Listen to the police," right? Uh, uh, uh, they teach you to, to, to, like, that the police officers are good.

Um, how, how does it affect a society in general? Even if they're, uh, eventually exonerated, there, there has to be these long-term impacts that I'm talking about, right?
