don't know right from wrong If you're a woman or if you're gay They want to take your rights away And if you're not for that,

Jose Antonio Ponce from Albuquerque, New Mexico, helps us celebrate America's 250 with a song, Put My Mind at Ease.

Taught me how to be a soldier I was proud to serve Did my time in country work Saw good men dying worse.

She never taught me how to come home and live a normal life.

How to be a father, husband to my wife.

And when I went to fight your war There was chaos and anxious fear When my time was up Came home to anger and hate-filled stairs.

The world painted a picture of a young, vengeful man.
