Do you have any pregame rituals?

um yeah so when i get out onto the field nothing oh actually i wear the same um i wear the same like compression tights i've worn the same types in every single game in my career they're um they're psd brands and they have uh They have $100 bills all over them.

Nice.

So, yeah, I wear those.

And then, like, so I go out.

We go out, and we hear the national anthem.

And then I always say, I always go over to the bench after the anthem and get on my knees, say a prayer, talk to my mom.

What does the EE way mean to you?

Mm-hmm.

"And I gotta win my one-on-one, and there's people out here depending on me to do that." So, um, just, just taking that all in and just understanding the situation.

And obviously, those guys get paid, too, on the other side.

So mentally, you know, just put myself in a, in, in, in a warfare of like, "Yo, this guy is coming to get me." So just repeatedly reminding myself of those type of, you know, thoughts and just, um, you know, taking it all in.

This is year eight for me as a pro, so, um, I have a routine of, you know, how I get myself into that space.

Um, and, um, you know, when the lights is on and I step between those lines.

And what we call a sheisty, I pull that sheisty down over my helmet-

I'm also looking for positive things.

It's not just to be focused on the negative.

But ultimately, it is, what is going on in this home that I can document and take back to the courtroom so that I can give the folks in that courtroom as much information as possible to make the best decision possible for that child? Because I get to spend more time with them than anyone else, like, in the, in the...

We call it the family support team.

So the guardian ad litem, the CASA, so my role, the, uh, children's division worker, at times the parents, and then at times the placement provider are all part of what we call a family support team, and we come together.

Usually it's over Zoom.

And why are you going to court?
