[instrumental music] I wanted to start with, I think we probably all have received some sort of negative feedback at one time or another, but what I'm wondering is-W- well, for one, how do you start to distinguish that negative feedback and make sure that that is something that is valuable to yourself? And then if we decide that that negative feedback is worth your time, how do you start to process that? So there's, like, two sides to that question about distinguishing the negative feedback and also processing it as well.

I think negative or, I guess, constructive feedback, I think it- it's really hard.
12:21
But I think actually what can be really helpful is to, is to view that as something that's gonna help take your work to the next stage.
12:27
It's often the negative or the constructive feedback that is the things that you can action.
12:33
It's the things that you can actually take and go, "Okay, I'll process that.
12:36
I'll think about how I can actually then make changes to my work to ultimately take it to the kinda next stage of development." First and foremost, making sure you understand that feedback.

I think so often we can feel quite, um, overwhelmed in a situation when we're getting feedback and we're receiving it, and actually sometimes we don't digest what we're kinda getting at that point.

Why you think it's helpful getting feedback, you know, from an early career artist perspective, why inviting other early career artists into the space, other artists into the space more generally is useful?
