What made you fall in love with performing? I...
1:24
know really like it's just that's an interesting it's an interesting like concept because it's just like something that feels like magic almost like you go to the movies and you just leave with that feeling or you see a play or a show and you're just like moved and it's just like something like special happens and like I don't know I just got that that acting bug as they say it is that special feeling for like not only acting but just like creating and like storytelling I think is what that's like the real thing that like got me yeah and then I was just like I have to do this and feel things and tell stories and move people and move myself and yeah I mean I was like six years old then so I wasn't like conceptualizing it like that but like that's pretty much what it is and as I've gotten older that's what I've learned is like the reason why I love doing this I

Did you get to kind of help approach the development of Jeanette as a character?
6:43
Yeah.
6:46
I liked how David, like, gave us freedom to kind of just, like, play around while we were, like, shooting the scenes, but even just, like, building what she liked wearing even or like even how she had her like wore her hair I remember having like a conversation with David and like um rehearsals just kind of about like what I thought how I thought she would wear her hair and like I got to like choose that ultimately which was like really um like important to me to be able to add even like little details like that that aren't that little like things like that really do matter I feel like so yeah he definitely was like very nice to work with because he was really big on like collaboration in certain ways

So first question about the audition process, uh, what was the audition process like for this role? Was there anything different about the audition from previous auditions you've had in the past?
1:00
Yeah, I think it, I mean, it was just, like, an audition that came in my inbox like any other one.
1:05
I think it was different from other ones because it was, a lot of it was un- kept under wrap, so I didn't have a lot of the information about what my character was like or where she fit into the story or even, like, what the story was even about from the initial audition.
1:19
It was a completely different set of sides that had nothing to do with this world, like, whatsoever.
1:25
So that was, like, interesting for me to be, like, not getting much information, I guess, and having to work with that, but yeah.

With it being your first film, was there anything specific that you might have learned that you can now take forward into the rest of your career?
2:01
Ooh, yeah.
2:02
I mean, I learned so much just watching everyone.

What do you think the movie is saying underneath all that spectacle about this whole, the way the, this f- this film is?
6:00
is?Yeah.
6:02
Um, well, yeah, I think it just says a lot about how, like, when you are put into dangerous situations, like even if the people close to you have differences, like you, if you love each other, like you are gonna just come together.
6:14
So it's really just about our, like, human nature and, like, what we'll, we will do for the people that we love and care about.
EliasHOST
6:36
Yeah
6:37
... also show up every day and, like, do the best work that I could, but still having everything else be new.
6:44
It was just a lot to take in.
6:46
And especially on, like, a thriller or horror genre, it's so physically and, like, emotionally demanding.
2:43
What was the funniest or strangest direction you received while like looking terrified and dealing with the dinosaurs? What was what were they using in front of you also for for size maybe?
2:52
Yeah, like, we had some, like, just, like, dinosaur, like, cut-out heads on just, like, sticks, kind of, I guess, for, like, eyeline or just to get, like, the height of it.
3:03
And then sometimes, like, there were people in, like, a blue suit when it was, like, the action stuff where we're having to, like... be in contact with them and stuff.
3:11
And then sometimes it was nothing there at all, which was like the most difficult for sure.
3:16
But as far as like direction, I don't know, I guess it was just kind of silly when there was nothing there at all.
3:22
And you had to just be like, whoa, and it's just like, there's nothing in front of you.
3:26
But yeah.
5:41
Cause there's a lot to be running away from.
