What makes Nicaragua the best?

Nicaragua has, uh, four very distinctly different growing regions that allow blenders that are growing tobacco in that country, it allows them at their fingertips to have a variety of flavors.

Because people talk about, "Oh, this has Corojo 98 or Criollo 99 or Habano 2000." The, the seed strain tells the plant how tall to grow and how wide to grow.

It does not give the plant its flavor.

When you talk about growing Corojo, authentic Corojo in Honduras, they are engineering the soil to be as perfect for that plant as possible, and the soil gives that tobacco its flavor.

You could grow Connecticut broadleaf in that soil and you'd have a similar flavor profile, although you'd have, uh, watered-down flavor because broadleaf would grow very wide leaves.

It, the, there's a comedy of errors that could happen by growing the wrong seeds in the wrong soil, but when you're really just looking at the very basics, soil is everything, and seed strain dictates height of the plant and width of the leaves.
