And From a player perspective, is there a reason we're seeing less private servers these days?
13:55
Well, when you boil it down, it always comes back to follow the money.
14:01
And there's been a ton of different approaches to how you monetize a multiplayer game.
14:08
look at call of duty in your example here you could say similar things to games like fortnite battlefield etc but these game studios have what we call a long tail of costs so you may have a single purchase of the game you know games like fortnite you may have not even had that but you have a single purchase of the game where the player may play for years And so you cannot ration that single purchase to cover your server costs of that user.
14:39
And these studios have to contend with, you know, their server costs are going to be anywhere between 10 to 25 cents per monthly active user.
14:47
And if you're doing it after a $60 game, that's a pretty good deal.
14:51
You've got years to spare, sort of.
18:19
And do you have tools or checks in place to see what people are running on these servers or is it a black hole?
