I mean, I have, this is the third book in a sequence of books that I've done with Harper Collins and David Pomerico.

There was the Book of Dragons, Book of Witches, and now the Book of the Dead.

And it was David's, it was my idea to do the Book of Dragons.

It was his idea that we would maybe make a series out of it and have big kind of ideas that sort of... were the focus for each book but we'd done the we'd finished the book of witches and every year or so i go on a vacation with a group of friends of mine who are writers and whatever else garth nix who you know and a few others and we were in hobart in tasmania in the middle of winter and we'd gone out to dinner at sort of literally tracked up and over hills and stuff through the the dark and the rain and the sleet and the snow to get to this restaurant and we're sitting at this raised table and we're talking about books and life and things.

So that kind of brings up, how do you send out the call for stories, but also how do you... choose how many stories are going to be in this book how many um like how do you choose things about the book specifically
