Can you tell me about the first project that you ever worked on with Merriman?

Yeah.

So when you're first out of school in an architecture firm, usually you're tasked with picking up red lines or markups from the architect you're working under, just making corrections to the plans.

It could be little things or it could be rearranging space planning or graphical changes but um when you're first out of school you're i was lucky that um i was able to work on a lot of different types of projects in that capacity when i was out of school the first couple years you're needed on um if you're working at a firm that doesn't specialize in one project type then you're needed on sometimes a big range so i did some industrial some historic um adaptive reuse projects that we were working on at the time hospitality um and And then even some commercial restaurant projects.

And that you're going to get a lot of different experience because you have to figure out the requirements for those spaces and those program types and then what's required to pick up the red line.

But all that to say, you do that for the first couple of years.

And then a project that I was working on, the architect who was managing it at the time, it's a good friend of mine.

Yeah, and then what's something that you learned when you were doing your program in school that prepared you well for your professional career?
