Um, turning to you, uh, Jonathan, um, knowing that international bodies have, have tried and largely backed away from this path decades ago, as I've just explained, I mean, is the Green Party repeating history here, or is it, is it charting a new moral course, do you think?
14:36
I think that it's a response to what has happened in Gaza, and I think a general, uh, se- m- more, more racial awareness, I suppose.
14:45
I think it might also be linked to the Black Lives Matter movement because now, in America in particular, mainstream Democrats are associating what's happening in Israel and Palestine with racial justice rather than, uh, the generation and the generation before that, uh, where it was very much seen as righting wrongs inflicted on the Jewish people.
15:05
But obviously, when you have what is basically an ethno-nationalist supremacist state, which Israel has become, where people like me, uh, secular Jews with, with no connection to Israel, have the right to go and live there technically, whereas sort of generations of Palestinian people who lived there for generations, who've been living in refugee camps potentially for 80 years, do not have the right to go back.
15:27
That is, seems manifestly unjust and racist, and people are beginning to see that.
15:32
But I suppose that the Greens are responding to that, and they want to make their, a protest, I suppose, but it's not politically sensible.
15:40
I think this is the main thing.

Um, Jonathan, are you aware of any mainstream Palestinian political factions, even those rejecting Israel, uh, existing at all, that actively pursue this exact single state model as a realistic diplomatic goal?
