By VHS, you mean the two episodes per tape, not the compendiums?

It was the compendiums to start with.

And then I was delighted when they released the whole lot.

And then that sort of like coincided with university.

And then so I guess I got a life for a brief period, went off on my travels.

Oh, I still love the series.

When I was back and established and my career was underway and what have you, I sort of reignited my love for the series.

But it's actually the way they filmed it and the social effects team that built it that made it work.

Yeah

... we all do that, don't we? You leave jobs behind.

So, but because she's not done conventions and she's, you know, very rarely talked about the program, people think, "Well, it must be because she's ashamed, she's embarrassed." Um, I've heard a lot of people theorize that, um, there was racism at the BBC or on the production team, and this all just stems from the fact that she's saying, "No, I don't wanna do conventions." And you know, that's, that's her right.

So she's not sort of embraced that side of things.

But I was always suspicious of those sort of theories, 'cause I, I just thought, "Well, where, where is this coming from?" 'Cause I think, I'm pretty sure I've read every interview that she's ever done, and I've never see- seen her say anything negative.

But um, and I was at an event a couple of years ago that, you know, she, she actually did do one or two events, um, quite a few years ago now, and she was just raving about the series.

You know, she said she loved the writing, she loved her costumes, she thought Dayna was a great character.
