Now, I guess talking about going back, like how cathartic was it that you actually got the chance after you had that encounter at that con with him and he didn't recognize you, but then getting to see him again and work with him during his last months, what was that like?
9:31
I mean, it's funny because a question like that, it's like, I know it was cathartic because how couldn't it be? But to have lived in the making of this film and the breaking down every inciting incident of your life, you start to really analyze it in a way that almost over it.
9:51
Like you zoom in so much.
9:52
much on it that you forget to sort of pull back and appreciate the moment because you're trying, you're analyzing it, you're over analyzing it.
9:59
And so those moments now is sometimes actually kind of hard to reflect on because it's something that's been in my life, making this film and thinking about it and explaining it and doing interviews and you start to dissect, over dissect it.
10:11
And sometimes it is hard to sort of keep that perspective because it feels like such a long time ago because you're thinking about it so much.
10:19
All that being said, after that moment when I went to the convention and got thrown out, I just thought that was it.

And how hard was that to make that decision to leave him and never know if you could see him? Well,
9:42
Yeah, and from the point that you did the Kickstarter last year to where the movie is now, what sort of challenges did you run into with, you know, finally getting it, you know, fully backed and getting it, like getting a distributor and just getting it out there?
10:00
Yeah, I mean, the biggest challenge has just been getting, so like when I had started the film, I had teamed up, I had different teams that I was working with throughout.
10:09
So when I first started making the film, I was with a guy who was nominated for an Oscar for documentary.
10:14
So I was like, Oh, slam dunk.
10:16
Like, this is just going to be easy.
10:17
Like I'm going to have this on Netflix in a year, you know, and I was already working with him on other projects.
10:21
So I, that just didn't work out.

so like when you were going through the legal review for the movie, were there any sort of hurdles that you had to jump over as far as like, you know, maybe a lawyer's like, this will be a lot more airtight if you have like the perspectives of people who are alleged to have done these things too.
