So what does transfer mean in this context?

Yeah, attention transfer, I think, is one that is challenging for folks, but it's very important.

So another way to think about it is basically, how do we help kids generalize the skills that they're learning and help them apply them across contexts? Because many times in intervention, what we're doing is we're teaching skills over here in this one setting, but we expect the kids will use those skills across their settings.

And so it's a bit counterintuitive, but I like to think, I tell people like, the goal for education is not for your students to be successful inside your classroom.

The goal is for kids to be successful outside of your classroom.

It's great that they can do like all those things in your classroom when you're there supporting them and helping them with those things.

That's a first step, but that's not a long-term goal.

So what does true individualization look like? And how can educators use their data to decide what to intensify for a particular student instead of just using the same approach for everyone?
