What do you say to his scandals and his accusations? And what do you say to Georgians in terms of who they vote for?

Yeah.

And let me let me talk about Mike Collins for a second.

Then we'll talk about apathy and the importance of the election.

You know, I said scandal pinata because it's like with Mike Collins, every time you shake him, more misdeeds fall out.

And it is tragic that in the state of Georgia, in the year 2026, a basic question in this Senate race is essentially, does white nationalism belong in the United States Senate? What Georgians deserve is a policy debate on skyrocketing healthcare costs, on this warmongering in the Middle East, driving up the price of gas, getting people killed, undermining our national security, on the tariff chaos that's driving up the price of just about everything.

Instead, we have in Congressman Mike Collins, somebody with extensive ties to white nationalism and neo-Nazi ideology.

You need to get us in there to do the job.

Isn't it? So with Trump in charge, Republicans in Congress following his lead on everything he's saying about it all, what can he actually do here? Well, this weekend, Georgia Democrat Jon Ossoff, a person I think who actually knows how AI tools work and has actually thought about it, had a few ideas.

Tech titans dig bunkers while warning us the new intelligence they're creating risks human extinction.

Congress debates youth sports, and the president builds a ballroom.

An ancient establishment barely capable of email sleepwalks into a technological revolution while the president dismantles precautions and calls us fools for worrying.

A capable president would move swiftly to secure and reassure the American people, rush inspectors into frontier labs, fortify the nation against bioterrorism, demand legislation from Congress, and lead the world toward an AI treaty.

But President Trump is compromised.

A capable Congress would engage every committee in investigation and legislation to act swiftly and wisely.

Donald Trump Jr. has a central role in Jon Ossoff's depiction of Trump family corruption.

Just listen to this.

Five days after his father was reelected, Prince Don Jr. becomes a partner at 1789 Capital, a venture firm founded by right-wing activists and Trump donors.

1789 Capital then buys a stake in Vulcan Elements, a tiny startup that says it plans to produce the high-tech magnets needed in drones, missiles, and satellites.

And about a month after Don Jr.'s venture firm buys its stake in Vulcan Elements, Pentagon officials learn that Peter Navarro, a convicted criminal, Don Jr.'s close friend, and a top White House official, wants the Pentagon to give your tax dollars to Vulcan Elements.

One Pentagon official said, quote, "The call came from the White House.

We have to get this done." And Athens, to be clear, getting this done means funneling your money to the president's son's investment.

He says, "The AI hoax being perpetrated by the radical left Democrats is reminiscent of their global warming scam of not so long ago, where everyone was going to die from extreme heat." What happened? Uh, Senator Ossoff, you want to respond to Donald Trump on that?

In that same speech in Atlanta on Sunday, Senator Ossoff, to the outrage of the Trump White House, said this.

They've lied nonstop about this war like they lie about everything, and they know they're lying, but they lie, and they keep lying anyway because in this White House, they view persistence in deceit as a virtue.

Yeah.

[crowd cheering] You hear me, Atlanta? Yep.

And there's something uniquely despicable- Preach ... about lying a nation into war.

Yeah.

[crowd cheering] Treating citizens as fools, and those who serve as pawns.

Is, is that what you're doing? Or are you just trying to communicate to those, uh, voters, uh, what this is all about?

Wh- why'd you decide to invoke Natalie Harp specifically in that speech?

speech?Well, Jen, thank you for having me, and, and here's the point.

We're in wartime.

The commander-in-chief has mired us in this geopolitical disaster.

People have lost their lives, our naval logistics are frayed, the global energy system is in crisis, and he retreats into this bubble of West Wing aides who are his security blanket to make him feel good about himself, to reassure him that he's doing a great job, to help him while he designs his new ballroom, and he adorns the Oval Office in gold and picks the interior decorations on this new luxury flying palace he received from a foreign prince, when every single minute of every single day, what the President of the United States should be doing is bearing his most solemn burden of care for the sailors and marines and aviators and all service members deployed on his orders on the basis of his lies to this disaster in the Middle East.

And just like the West Wing is full of sycophants who tell him what he wants to hear and enable him, so is the United States Congress, Republicans in the House and Senate who still lack the spine to tell this president what he doesn't want to hear.

And one of those is Congressman Mike Collins here in Georgia, the pro-war, pro-tariff, pro-cutting your healthcare, bigot congressman Trump puppet who wants a six-year term in the United States Senate.

But what did you think wh- when you first heard those comments?

Well, as we watch Mike Collins self-destruct on the campaign trail, let's remember who Mike Collins is.

He's pro-war, he's pro-tariff, he's pro cutting your healthcare, and he's been mired in scandal since the moment he secured the Republican nomination over his widely reported ties to neo-Nazi and white nationalist ideology.

I mean, this is the same congressman, remember everybody a couple of weeks ago, who fled from the press in an open field, literally ran away from a press conference rather than answer a question he still hasn't answered, which is whether his business hired and paid the neo-Nazi propagandist who produced his business's promotional material.

This is the same congressman whose office was briefing Nick Fuentes, Richard Spencer, and some of the most notorious white supremacists in the United States about his office's efforts on behalf of a Holocaust denier, and he still refuses to release all of those communications.

And you heard this week he wants to take taxpayer dollars and pay it out to the traitors and thugs who sacked the United States Capitol on January 6th.

What he is saying to the people of Georgia is after cutting their healthcare, throwing 300,000 of them off their health insurance, doubling health insurance premiums for more than a million Georgians, he's then gonna take their tax dollars and pay it out to violent criminals.

What do you, what do you make of that news, and, and what's your reaction been to this story in general?

Mm-hmm

Uh, and it's something that I think echoes through, uh, the story of a young Jewish man and a Black pastor from Ebenezer Baptist Church running together for the US Senate.

What happens now in the Senate with this funding?

I don't think there is bipartisan support to give Pete Hegseth additional slush fund money for misadventures overseas and this administration's failed foreign policy, and his testimony yesterday lacked credibility and was not persuasive to anybody.

I, I do wanna note, you mentioned that Mike Collins was not present for the president's rally in Georgia today, and the conservative paper, the Washington Examiner, uh, was, uh, writing that this actually gave Donald Trump cover to avoid having to address Mike Collins' scandals.

Because we've learned in recent weeks that Mike Collins' office was briefing Nick Fuentes and other prominent white supremacists on its efforts on behalf of a prominent Holocaust denier, and that Mike Collins has had a neo-Nazi propagandist based on his property, and still now, a week after that CNN reporting, refuses to answer whether he or his business or his campaign or his office have paid this neo-Nazi propagandist.

Mike Collins needs to come out and hold a press conference tomorrow.

He needs to address the press and the public in the state of Georgia, and he needs to come clean, and it's a question that Georgians deserve an answer to.

Has he been paying this neo-Nazi propagandist, and is this neo-Nazi propagandist still based on Mike Collins' property?

What do you think should be dug into about this? Do you-- What questions do you have about it?

Careful clinicians studying this patient, Trump, like Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff, were able to tell us nine hours before the event what was gonna happen tonight.

Here's what's gonna happen tonight.

The world's most famous sore loser will deliver a primetime presidential sour grapes address to pursue his six-year-old grievances about the 2020 election while his war in the Middle East spirals out of control and the cost of living continues to rise for Americans across the country.

I expect the president to reheat debunked conspiracy theories about the repeatedly litigated and audited and confirmed 2020 presidential election in Georgia, an election that Donald Trump lost.

And let me be very clear about this.

If the president declares Georgia's elections illegitimate, or if the president declares Georgia's sitting United States senators illegitimate, he is declaring Georgia voters illegitimate.

It's Donald Trump who tried to defraud Georgia voters in that election, Donald Trump who tried to commit election fraud when he called Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, and it was caught on tape, and you should play the tape for your viewers today, and badgered and bullied Georgia's top election official to, quote, "find him the votes" that he needed to win in a state where he had lost.

How did you do it? How did you figure out what Donald Trump was gonna say tonight?

Do, do you know if he plans to talk about you and W- Warnock?

I don't know.

Uh, but i- if there's one person who committed election fraud in Georgia, it's Donald Trump when he dialed up our state's senior most election official, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, and tried to bully him in a recorded phone call to, quote, "find" the exact number of votes Donald Trump needed to win in a state that he had lost.

I, I expect tonight's speech to be equal parts pathetic and dangerous.

I think we will hear from the world's most famous sore loser a prime time presidential sour grapes address reheating debunked conspiracy theories about an election in which he was soundly defeated.

And I think he'll also potentially selectively declassify information or cherry pick various pieces of evidence to lay the groundwork for whatever kind of meddling he wants to attempt this year or to try to discredit the results when he's dealt a resounding defeat in the midterm elections.

Um, what's your, what's your thought on this?

That's not surprising because just recently Collins' office, his congressional office, was briefing prominent white supremacists like Nick Fuentes on Collins' office efforts on behalf of a prominent Holocaust denier.

Now, what's he doing now? He's pivoting from the ballroom to election denial and conspiracy theories.

Only a shrinking share of his base believes him on any of this, and he continues to demonstrate he doesn't understand the depth of the hole he's dug for himself.

Why is he obsessed with Georgia? Why?

In my view, he's obsessed with Georgia because he can't get over the fact that it was Black voters and Black political power who were instrumental to his defeat in Georgia and in a number of crucial battleground states.

But, but look, there's talk that he might try to declare me and Raphael Warnock illegitimate senators.

Obviously, the president has no power to do that, but he does have the power to try to intimidate people.

He's demonstrated his will to abuse power.

I expect him to use whatever he puts out there on Thursday as a pretext either for some attempted unconstitutional use of federal power to interfere in the election or to give his proxies and loyalists in state and local jurisdictions some cover for whatever they might attempt, or to lay the groundwork for challenging the result.

And the bottom line is that this is a real and live threat to voting rights in the United States right now, and perhaps the most significant we've faced since the 1960s.

What are you gonna push him on? What are you gonna press him on, given all of this, everything we've discussed?

Tell me what has happened.

A- Ali, we have a lot of momentum, uh, but I- I- I bring news from the Peach State in the aftermath of the Supreme Court decision.

We're expecting vast Republican spending against me here in Georgia, and there is no path back to regaining control of the United States Senate without winning this race in Georgia.

Remember that just a few years ago, our Republican governor was re-elected by a wide margin.

This is the most competitive battleground state in the country, and I'm running against Donald Trump's handpicked candidate, Congressman Mike Collins, the infamous bigot congressman, who is only a congressman because his daddy was a congressman, but who's gonna have the full weight and power of the White House and Republican super PACs behind him.

And today, literally today, Ali, is the most important deadline yet of our campaign.

The deadline's midnight tonight.

W- uh, what are you running into with, with, with people as you're meeting them in terms of what they want you to actually do in the Senate if you're reelected?

Um, how did you arrive at that as a, as a strategy, um, and as something that you felt like was worth devoting a lot of time to talking with your constituents about?

about?Well, Rachel, what really resonates is, okay, you've got the American government controlled by Donald Trump backing a Trump family tungsten mine in Kazakhstan with a billion plus dollars of federal commitments at the very same time that they are cutting healthcare, defunding hospitals and nursing homes, and doubling health insurance premiums for more than a million Georgians.

We've seen 300,000 Georgians lose health coverage in the last six months because they couldn't find room in the budget for health insurance.

But they've got room in the budget for a tungsten mine overseas, controlled in part by Prince Don and Prince Eric.

And I think what we're seeing and feeling at these rallies in Georgia is that Georgia voters are starting to see, with the election just a few months away, that their moment is at hand to use their power as citizens to rebuke these abuses and this corruption, and to restore checks and balances.

But folks, my opponent, Congressman Mike Collins, who is President Trump's handpicked candidate, he launched his campaign this week with a claim that Donald Trump had won the 2020 election.

And Donald Trump launched his attack on voting rights with the Fulton County ballot raid.

Do you think this decision is gonna have an effect on the way Trump can use the federal government to benefit himself and, and his family and his donors?

I spoke at length with Senator Ossoff and asked him if his laser-focused attack on President Trump risks alienating swing voters that he will need this November.

I think the President has earned the criticism and earned disgrace.

His economic agenda is a disaster for the country.

He's doubled health insurance premiums for more than a million Georgians.

His tariffs have driven up grocery prices and the prices of just about everything else.

He's been globally humiliated in Iran.

Just last month, Americans faced record high prices for groceries, for healthcare, and for housing.

I'm wondering what you think needs to change in your party to convince voters that you'll actually deliver in a Senate majority.

I'm wondering what you think needs to change in your party to convince voters that you'll actually deliver in a Senate majority.

Well, the coalition that I'm building in Georgia stretches far beyond just Democrats.

There are independents and a growing number of Republicans who are supporting me.

Uh, and my office has distinguished itself through the quality and caliber of constituent service that we've provided to communities across the state, the oversight and investigations that I've led into corruption and civil rights abuses in our federal prison system, into the mistreatment of military families and privatized housing on bases across Georgia, the work that I've done helping Georgia's agricultural sector expand market access all over the world.

Uh, and what you're seeing right now is a growing number of conservatives who are unwilling to support my opponent, Congressman Mike Collins, or saying that they're gonna support me because they know I've done a good job for the state, and because it's widely understood in Georgia that Congressman Collins is a person of low integrity and poor character who is known as a bigot and an anti-Semite, and who has voted to double Georgian's health insurance premiums, voted for war, and voted for tariffs.

Does that mean impeachment?

Let me, let me just say accountabi- Well, as I've said, I think that his misconduct has already exceeded the standard previously set for presidents when it comes to impeachment.

The bottom line is there has to be accountability, and I think we have to distinguish between accountability, which is different from vengeance.

Mm

... uh, because he's lost it.

Uh, but more importantly, what we're seeing is how destabilized he is by his global humiliation in the Middle East, which he cannot deny or lie away.

His approval rating sits at 34%, while Americans pay more than ever for groceries and healthcare and rent, and he's out here building a monument to himself and adorning his office in gold trim while, because of his actions, cancer patients face the loss of their health insurance.

He has cemented his place in history in disgrace, and now our job as patriotic Americans inspired by the legacy of our founding is to marshal all of our passion and resources and energy to restoring checks and balances this fall because we won't get another chance at this.

And this race in Georgia will be decisive.

I am the only incumbent Democratic senator running for re-election in a state that Donald Trump won.

As you look to the stakes here, and what your opponent could support, what should people understand about what could happen if Democrats aren't able to win your seat and win back more seats next year?

Are you, in, in encountering those voters, are, are you experiencing any of their alienation from Donald Trump? Because they are the ones who are delivering this very low job approval rating, uh, for Donald Trump in these polls.

What should the American public who's just tuning into this know about your opponent, Mike Collins?

Yeah, ladies and gentlemen, uh, you're gonna get to know Mike Collins very well over the next few months.

And of course, to begin with, he is pro-war, he is pro-tariff, he's pro cutting your healthcare.

He's also a notorious bigot and antisemite, and an election-denying extremist who is only a congressman because his daddy was a congressman, and is a Trump puppet who will serve Donald Trump's needs and agenda mindlessly if he is elected to the United States Senate.

Uh, this is someone with some of the most extreme views and one of the most extreme records in the United States House of Representatives.

And this is what I need people to hear tonight, because I appreciate that there is confidence in our prospects in Georgia and in the mighty wave that is building across the country.

But I need people to reckon seriously with the fact that Congressman Mike Collins, as loathsome as his record is, as low character and low integrity as he is, could be elected in the state of Georgia to a six-year term in the US Senate if we don't do everything we need to do to get out the vote like never before in Georgia.

What, what is, what do you think is going on here?

Can you talk about that and can you define that and what that means?

I think it means that we will be a team focused on delivering a positive vision for our state's future and how good state government and good federal policy can work together to serve the state's needs.

What do I mean by that specifically? You know, we have lost in the last 20 years 21 hospitals in the state of Georgia, in large part because our state government has refused to expand Medicaid.

And what does it mean to expand Medicaid? It means that the state has refused to accept federal resources that would help fund our hospitals and get people health insurance.

We're paying the same federal taxes as people in every other state.

We're just not accepting the benefit.

Uh, what will, w- y- what would be your view of that nomination, uh, in the United States Senate when it comes to confirmation?

And there is no world in which Todd Blanche could earn my vote.

As far as I'm concerned, Todd Blanche should resign as acting attorney general.

And remember, he represented Donald Trump, uh, when it came to the January 6th insurrection and, uh, his trial in the Senate.

He appears to be the architect of this possibly illegal and fraudulent deal to try to build a $1.8 billion slush fund for Jan 6th foot soldiers and the president's cronies.

And don't forget, to try to grant the president immunity for, uh, investigations of tax fraud.

How concerned are you about this?

It seems that the votes that Senator Schumer is going to force, uh, coming up in the Senate e- even this week, uh, go to some of these issues that you're talking about in, in terms of the, the Trump team corruption, uh, that the Senate Democrats now are trying to block.
