But, like, in what sense did that, um, formative experience sort of f- form your character, as it were?

Um, I think that there's, there's a lot of independence that you get growing up on the bush.

Uh, you kinda have to.

Um, and I think that made it very easy to sort of like take bets on myself to say, "Okay, I'm going to go to university.

I'm going to head off to the US.

I'm going to, like, um, start photographing." So I think there was a really interesting sort of, uh, level of independence.

Also, I think visually it was a really interesting education.

It's bringing those two things together almost.
