What actually has changed when you stopped seeing yourself as a provider only and started seeing yourself more so as a leader at home?
12:25
Well, I mean, I changed my priorities.
12:28
There was a moment in time, you know, a really, really tough stretch of life when things were getting really tough to manage at work when it came to work stress and that things were boiling over at home.
12:41
things got so challenging for me that I was pretty much forced to like take a step back and reassess some things.
12:49
And while it was really painful, I wouldn't, I wouldn't give that whole painful experience back for anything because it did force me to stop and reassess some things.
12:58
And, uh, Now my kids are at the top of the priority.
13:02
And I don't just say that because it feels good.

2:33
Instead of somebody that's never been exposed to that, then it's just like, "What am I feeling? I don't like it.
2:41
I'm going to, like, just take some action because I'm uncomfortable, and I, I need to feel better about the situation." And, you know, for some people, you know, it's handing out a punishment.
2:54
I don't know.
2:54
Maybe you know better than I.
3:48
So what if Dad blows up, messes up, misses his goal? What, how do you repair?
3:21
Mm
3:21
... and anxiety that, that I was not just bringing home, but really sort of living in all the time.
3:27
I started at this company.
3:28
I worked there for, like, 18 years.
3:30
Started part-time, um, in a creative space.
3:33
I went to art school.
3:34
Um, I...

What's, like, a, a way that dads can stop or tamp down that reactivity and transform that into more of that leadership that you just described?
