Like, what is your true potential? How far can you take it in this game? So we've always shared in that and we've had, deep conversations about you know our our baseball careers what went right what went wrong for years before i ever ever even started this podcast and i've always been so appreciative of that because it's always felt like a safe space where i was not going to be judged i hope you felt the same yeah me you know because it is weird looking back and thinking and just talking about stuff like that you don't want to seem like a like a cry baby or like that guy that you know like an uncle rico you know like you don't want to be that guy yeah so that was um special to me and then i just wondered you know and i know parts of it i think we're going to get to more but that but i wondered how you look at it now um and i know um it's interesting i'm sure how you're coaching your son compared to how we were coached growing up and things like that so anyway so fascinating and another part that you know your name might not come up when people are like who are some of like the greatest you know like springfield guys you know but i saw it and i saw the potential of what you could be and i remember just thinking you know this guy is going to absolutely be a division one player probably pro caliber at some point um reminded me of like a tim lincecum like the way you moved your body on the mound and and also one of the better athletes i know like i we've we've played horse and uh you have you know chef curry range it's crazy just like a natural athlete you can golf you can play basketball sports come relatively easy to you and from both sides you can do things lefty and righty so it's always amazed by that we'll get into it i'm just rambling at this point so anyway um how are we doing today buddy are you excited to do this what's what's going on

What are some mistakes that you made that others could learn from? I know that could be, we could be here for a while, maybe.
