So what do you think of when you see Red River?

Athletes, athletic, you know, especially on the offensive side.

Man, they got some dudes.

I mean, they're long.

They can run.

Um, I'm pretty sure that number one, the late Lewis, I think he's like state champion.

He was in the state champion, a hundred meter dash.

And it's just, it's kids, I get it, but it doesn't make it any easier.

So what was your message to the boys after the game? I assume you were just busting with pride, but how did you kind of let them know that?

Well, I mean, you, like I said, you see it and you know, you know that they had every opportunity to lay down and quit and they had every opportunity to just say, Oh boy, here we go again.

Or here, this goes like this, you know, at Lakeside.

I mean, they had that opportunity, but they didn't.

And that was what I, the message afterwards is just, you know, you don't, You don't ever do that.

And, you know, there was a lot of people that didn't think we were going to win, you know.

So it was fun.

Why did his name pop into your mind so quickly when we asked you that question Friday night?
