So can you trace a little bit of the evolution of like your research and then this type of research and sort of like how that informs what we're doing here and what summer camp's about?

Building science is still a sort of emerging field and it means different things to many different people.

Uh, I was lucky that my, um, one of my professors at the university, uh, was a really early adopter in Canada of doing building science research.

And he, uh, assembled some funding to build a test hut to measure the drying rates of wood frame walls.

Um, experiencing lots of problems in the 1990s with, uh, built-in construction, moisture, vapor barriers, air barriers, all those things.

So he, he made a test hut.

Uh, and so he was a, an early user of test huts and designers of test huts.

Like, when did it start in your eyes? And, like, where are we in the evolution of the training?
