I'm guessing you've seen that.

Absolutely.

And in fact, when I'm trying a case like that, that involves a brain injury, Hope and optimism are all that some people that are in that situation have left.

And you don't want to dash that.

And you don't want them to hear everything, every bad detail about what they have to look forward to.

So a lot of the time, I'll have my client there for a board hour and get the jury's permission that they not be there the whole time, that they not have to listen to all that and sit through it.

And I've never had even one juror say, well, by God, I got to be here.
