12:44
Yeah,
12:44
that was my I finally get that.
12:49
I always tried.
12:49
I write.
12:52
every book as if it is my last.
12:54
So when I got to write my first Batman book, I was like, I don't know if this is going to be my last.
12:59
So it's going to be a story where all the inmates break out of Arkham and I get to use every character.

24 MINS LATER

37:16
And what are you working on these days? Do you have any recent projects you want to promote?
2:47
[laughs] Do you have a favorite? Am I allowed to ask that? [laughs]
2:51
Uh, you can, and I think it's topical.
2:53
Uh, well, no. Favorites? I mean, it, there's-- The first th- that I wrote or, like, the one that made it to The New York Times Best Seller list, or is it the ones where I get to sneak my friends and family inside? Do you know what I mean? Uh, you mentioned Ghostbusters.
3:07
I grew up, that was my favorite movie, and I got to write the Ghostbusters Little Golden Book.
3:10
I also got to work on He-Man and She-Ra.
3:12
I know.
3:13
These things are 40 years old now, and we're finally getting a chance to, um, bring them back for the newer generation.
5:06
You have to have variety, right?
2:49
And I'd love to ask, in writing a book about red-eyed tree frogs, what was your research process for something like this?
2:54
Well, I do live in, in New York City, so anytime I get to write a nonfiction book where I'm not making stuff up, uh, in my head, I get to go to the New York Public Library.
3:04
And if any of you are familiar with it, on Fifth Avenue around 42nd Street.
3:08
Um, it's a huge, old i- library.
3:10
They have a great children's section.
3:12
I did a lot of my research in the children's department so that it would be age appropriate, that it would be understandable and, um, you know, written in a way that is kind of, like, digestible, like, easy, bite-size, uh, information.
3:26
So it was fun to not only go to the library and look up books on nature and frogs but also, um, go online and access, like, National Geographic or National Geographic Kids and, and other experts.
8:23
[laughs]
