So what was life like and what did that experience teach you about opportunity?

Well, I was more than happy to be reunited with my mom because five years earlier, she had to leave Haiti.

Quickly, because my uncle was part of the opposition back then, unofficial opposition, because we were on Baby Doc, who was a dictator.

So they were looking for my uncle.

They couldn't find him anywhere because he was hiding.

So they said, you know what? To get him out of his hole, let's grab his favorite sister, who happened to be my mom.

So my mom went to the embassy because somebody higher up called her and said, get out, they're coming to get you tomorrow.

And so what we most want to know is who do you most want to be a hero to?
