you know, I was going to say maybe like, it really does depend on the time as well as the scale.

So you do need to, you know, if you're, if you're starting your company first and you're hiring that literally that first engineer, like that can't just be a coder who can't think outside the box.

It has to be more that person who's going to be that solution architect down the line, because otherwise, you know, it's going to be very difficult now in saying that if it's literally like, you know, if it was you and me starting a business tomorrow, you know, and I, and I knew, I knew you and I knew you can code and I can talk to you and translate those things, then that will work.

But I think one thing that a founder has to do when they're hiring that first technical person is think ahead.

Well, is this person going to grow with me to be the leader of the technology part of my business? Or am I hiring for a point in time where I just need to get something done? So you might contract somebody in just to get a first thing done because I need a...

prototype built but that person may never be in your mind to be your permanent CTO of the future so you have to have that thought like is this person this first hire is this my CTO of the future if it is going to be then you need to be thinking of a person who is way more than just a coder who has communication capabilities has already showing you clear ability to translate business to technology, to own wider than the code.

With regards to the science that's here on display, the coming together of lots of different organisations to share, how important is it making science accessible in this kind of tactile, tangible way?

It's incredibly important for a couple of reasons.

If I didn't study science, I would have studied history.

So the history of science is where I really do...

And if you look back on the history of agricultural science in New Zealand, the innovations have come from farmers and scientists working hand in hand.

So whether it's the electric fence by Sir Bill Gallagher's dad, or it's Ron Sharp developing the herringbone milking shed, And that innovation connected with science to quantify it and the conversations that have gone on.
