Tell everybody a little bit about your background and how you first discovered beads.

Well, Ruth and I were traveling around the world for quite a while, and we went to Morocco.

That was in 69 or 70, something like that.

And then we bought some goody mint beads in Marrakesh, like it was in fashion at the time.

And we liked them.

But when we were going to cross the Sahara at the time with a small car, and so we went to Algeria and went to the other part, West Africa.

And we discovered that the beads that were in Marrakesh actually came from the West Coast.
