Do we have to think of it in the same way when it comes to lymph?
16:09
Yes, this is very important, right? We don't think about it.
16:12
A lot of people start taking a supplement or doing exercise or go get a lymphatic drainage session and then they feel so bad afterwards.
16:19
They're like, I'm never doing that again.
16:22
I've heard that from a lot of people.
16:24
So think about your lymphatic system as a system that must clean us.
16:28
And really, when it's not working, and it's not working on many people, one little vessel, it just gets stuck.

30 MINS LATER

46:24
So both hands scooping this way.
10:12
So it's opening up those vessels is pushing it back through the entire system to get reabsorbed correctly or where is it actually exiting
10:23
yeah let me explain that so the lymph system pulls everything up through these vessels like plumbing up let's say up to this area then it goes right into your subclavian vein and right into your heart again okay all the waste everything And it goes out through your blood system.
10:42
Then it has to go through your organs again.
10:44
And that's why we're sick sometimes or feel ill, a headache, digestive issues, or just fatigue is what the biggest thing people feel.
10:51
Because when we get this waste out, it's the acidic waste and it limits the oxygen in your body.
10:55
And that's the fatigue we're feeling.
10:57
And then a few hours later or a day later, you feel better, right? But it really is, we have to open up these major lymph vessels.

7 MINS LATER

17:38
tea?
3:51
What else does it clean out? It's not just for infections.
3:54
Yeah, you hit it on the head.
3:55
It's really for your immune system.
3:57
You know, we think about it a lot in cancer when people have nodes removed and their arms swell or legs swell.
4:02
And you don't have to have surgery to have swelling.
4:03
I was having swelling on my leg from just having a lot of injuries as a young child.
4:07
And think about it.

14 MINS LATER

18:30
But specifically with lymph and getting the lymph moving, what are some of the approaches, therapies that you use and that have been shown to be helpful? I
JessHOST
2:12
But before we do that, can you please introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about what you do?
2:17
Yeah, I've been passionate about helping people ever since I was a young boy.
2:21
I'd always protect the kid who was being bullied.
2:24
I was a lifeguard.
2:25
I was a medic in the army and I was a New York City firefighter.
2:29
So I have this thing of helping people.
2:31
And when I left the fire department and moved to Arizona, I got bored and I went to massage therapy school.

23 MINS LATER

JessHOST
25:09
So maybe you could share a little bit about that.
VictoriaHOST
13:56
Was that like in juices or raw vegetables or?
14:01
No, I didn't know about this much at that time.
14:04
This was a while ago.
14:05
Now I spend a few days each week eating raw, eating salads, eating a little bit, not a lot, right? Letting my body clean a few days a week.
14:13
Even though I did that for 30 days and it changed my life within a few weeks, most people find that hard to do.
14:19
So what I teach is let's do a few weeks of cleaning up each week, right? A few days a week, and then they start feeling better, and then we do a little longer cleanup.
14:27
Because it's very hard.
VictoriaHOST
18:11
You've said that sometimes it can be that an autistic teen does well for years and then suddenly begins struggling.
3:56
[laughs]
3:56
... very tiny on the sides of your neck right behind your clavicles, and when we slouch a lot, when we're not active, when, uh, we've had trauma or surgeries, these get blocked and our body can fill with cellular waste.
4:09
And what I wrote 20 years ago is coming true.
4:12
Everything I wrote is coming true because NIH, the National Institutes of Health, uh, they published in 2023 in their report the emerging importance of lymphatics in health and disease.
4:22
Changes in normal lymphatic function can alter multiple systems in the body and manifest as different and varied pathologies.
4:29
That's your diseases.
4:30
And there are many conditions related to lymphatic dysfunction within all body systems.
8:26
Mm.
20:22
Can you talk about that?
20:23
Yeah.
20:24
We don't think about our body being cells, that we're alive, right? Talk to your cells once in a while.
20:29
[chuckles] Uh, your heart, your kidneys, your brain, m-many of those cells are alive, and they need oxygen, and they need nutrition, and the reas- and get rid of their waste.
20:38
And the reason many people have no energy is because we're lacking magnesium, and we're finding out that you need magnesium to make ATP, which is adenosine triphosphate, which is how your cells make energy.
20:51
So if we don't have magnesium in our body, and it's not like a boost that's gonna give you, like, an energy drink, it's just gonna make your cells work better.
20:58
Our cells need to function.

32 MINS LATER

53:09
Yeah.
1:35
So let's talk a little bit more about how you got into this work.
1:39
Yeah, I was, again, I retired from the fire department.
1:43
I'm a person who likes to help people.
1:45
I got bored.
1:45
I went to massage therapy school and then learned from three world-renowned doctors.
1:50
Dr. Upledger, craniosacral therapy, which is work for your brain and spinal cord.
1:54
And then Dr. Burrell, which is visceral manipulation, how to move the organs.

17 MINS LATER

19:27
So what are some good things and a good practice that people can add into their daily routine? We'll go over a
