This is a little outside, I think, of the normal question, but I think this is a good question to ask you.

Yeah, here's a couple of things that I do different that most people don't think about.

The size of the plot, the shape of the plot, the width of the plot, the stand location, of course, matter.

So let's just say, for example, like I wrote a book called The Perfect Acre, and there's days I sit around and I share this.

I'm like, what would The Perfect Acre look like? Well, it depends on how wide it is and how long it is.

But again, when you're sitting in that stand, and I had this happen at one of my research properties, and I thought I had it measured exactly right, and I don't want to shoot a deer at it.

you know, 40 yards, I want to shoot a deer within 30.

Yeah.

Just anything that you've seen, you know, just more recently.

Yeah, because I get calls all day, emails all day.

I've done this so long.

Soil depth is the number one issue.

So the light bulbs turned on and again, this is something that's new for me.

And some people, when I start showing photos, maybe that'll, I won't even need to talk about it.

People just understand.

And I was hoping that maybe you could hit on Just anything that you've seen, you know, just more recently.

Like, one little thing, I was doing some show and tell today, was basically, uh, my l- uh, longest back memory with my grandpa Ray is tasting clover plants.

And so I was having Jacob and my son and showing the cameraman different forages.

I'm like, "Let's taste these today.

Deer are eating this forage today.

Okay.

What's kind of the mindset with some of the crops?

Yeah, actually one thing that flew in my brain, I better give a shout out because I'm doing all the school seminars Public speaking, I always claim, you know, give props to my grandpa and my dad.

Sure.

But my curse is my mom's an expert in horticulture.

So my whole background is family.

This is a wheelhouse.

So my mom worked for a company in the vegetable industry her whole career.

But then also, you know, if you've got some of these crops, I know folks are scared to kind of drive on their fields and, you know, what are your thoughts? That was a topic that

Mm.

So when it comes to brassica and fall focus plots, just like crop rotation with farmers, we always bring up plot rotation.

So for example, I have a blend that's basically a regenerative blend that I call Grains and Greens.

It has gr- winter wheat, winter rye, winter triticale, uh, winter, uh, it has the peas, buckwheat, and four different brassicas.

So again, you have regrowth the following spring, which also has some benefit with, you know, conservation, holding moisture and, and, and overall soil health.

But it's, it's not a bulb heavy brassica, heavy blend.
