So, um, as you say, uh, you know, 22 years ago, which, uh, is, is almost a generation of, of people, um, uh, we located our, what who we know as our, um, Echo Point Man, quite affectionately.

Um, through advances in DNA, we've been able to work out through the genealogy that he is Latvian background.

Uh, and the Latvian population in Australia is not necessarily a big population, so we're, we're reaching out to that, uh, community in particular to, uh, see, um, if they would help us in providing samples of DNA to try and work out this gentleman's family tree.

Um, we've already had some of our Latvian police officers that have provided that DNA that, um, will help, um, solve the puzzle, if you will, of an advanced family tree.

So, so any members of the Latvian community, you want them to take a look at this and be talking about it.

It didn't help my friendships, but it did restore my sense of superiority.

Like think of how challenging it is to have a career, raise kids, you know, make it all happen, and then next thing you know, you go from these wonderful moments of just wanting to be with each other all the time and, and, and, and, and creating this life together, and it's just completely taken over by a d- brain disease that you didn't ask for.

And she was, um, by far my rock.

Um, and it did really feel like the mood at that time was anyone who is anyone in terms of the establishment just has a kind of atheistic, materialistic, rationalist approach to life, and ethics, and meaning.

Um, and I think in a way we've kind of moved past that.

Hollywood is now much more open to the spiritual, much more open to s- something else.

And I feel like that probably whatever we make of the sort of the quiet revival data, I think there...

We just heard from Greg Vanney about when he started to believe, team went unbeaten until April. When you joined the Galaxy, when you arrived here in Los Angeles, be honest, when you got here, in that locker room, could you sense the scars from previous seasons or was there a buzz about the group, the individuals, the collective? Was it palpable to you? What do you remember of those early, early days?

Yeah. No, I would say more of a buzz. Um, you know, I think people just wanted to move on from the 2023 season. Um, you know, of course, it, it wasn't great. But no, I, I would honestly say it, it was more of a buzz. Uh, you know, leaders like Maya Yoshida, you know, they knew the standard needed to be better. And I think right in preseason it was... you know, it showed that. It was the start of that.

... what changed? And what were you thinking? Was it relief? Was it joy? Did it feel like an exorcism?

Yeah, I, I think at halftime we were down 2-0, and we just needed one goal. Uh, Decky scored the first one, and then obviously, uh, Eddy. Um, you know, that was the moment we knew we could get back in the match. And then after that, w- we were in, you know, we were relentless. We were killing them. Um, but yeah, we just needed that spark, and that was a huge goal for us.
