But my company had, uh, been shut down by the French, and I, uh, was going through a divorce, so I volunteered to go to, you know, to go to Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

I even volunteered to go to, uh, Saudi Arabia for a year.

... uh, four, three or four years ago, I still thought they were planning to gradually release the information, uh, so that the public would, uh, you know, not panic, but, uh, accept this.

And, uh, now I don't think they ever had any intention, uh, of doing that, and I don't think they have today.

And, uh, as odd as it may sound, I, I, uh, I kind of go along with it.

I believe that they, really the public does not have, uh, a need to know.

Uh, they don't, certainly don't have a right to know.

Uh, there's so many, uh, aspects to this thing, uh, that would, uh, that would really disrupt public life, uh, as we know it that, uh, that I don't think they, uh, had any intention of doing it.

Uh, at any rate, um, [sighs] the Dulce incident.

And he came and called, gave me a call, came out to the house, and we were talking about one thing and another, and I asked him where all he'd been based.

And one of the places he mentioned was Bentwaters.

And Bentwaters is a United States Air Force base, uh, in England, about 70 miles northwest of London.

And most pilots, uh, have heard about a saucer, saucer that supposedly landed in December of 1980.

And when he said Bentwaters, I said, "Oh, that's supposedly where that, uh, saucer landed." And he said, "No, John, not supposedly.

It did." He said, "I didn't see it 'cause I was confined to quarters, but I talked to the guys who did.

And there was a situation I heard in one of the shows where you mentioned that on a Wednesday evening, you went out and right when he said there would be testing, you actually saw a dome-shaped disc or something.

That was March twenty-first, nineteen eighty-nine.

I was over at his house, and he said he was already working up at S4, and he said, "They're gonna test fly tomorrow.

Do you wanna go up and watch?" And I said, "Yeah, but how can we watch without violating security?" He said, "Well, there's a dirt road to the northeast of, of Groom Lake, and it's-- we can get pretty close without violating security, and they test at nine o'clock, so if we get there about quarter to nine, we'll be okay." So I said, "Yeah, I'd like to do that." So that was the March twenty-second, nineteen eighty-nine.

Me and Gene Huff and Bob drove up there, and we parked on the road about twelve miles northeast of Groom Lake and started setting up the telescope, and we saw in the distance this bright light.

You couldn't see any definition of shape because it was too far away.

So I started setting up the telescope, and just as it stopped motion and started going down or going vertically down behind the mountains, I got the telescope lined up and saw, in fact, it was a disc, and it was radiat-radiating a gold or yellowish kind of substance.

I just wondered what you-- have you come to any different conclusion over the years?
