But to keep it short and sweet, um, different sources of steel, um, is, is one of the kind of high points.

Um, the other is the manufacturing process.

So whether the, the equipment, the tool is cast versus, you know, a, a single type of steel that's been tempered, or laminate steel where you have some softer steel in the handles and hardened steel on the cutting edge, and then whether it's cast or hand-forged, all of those play into the cost.

You know, obviously things that are more readily mass-produced or, uh, cheaper material, sourced material are gonna be the lower end tools, um, versus the stuff that's higher grade steels or hand-forged, um, that require an artisan's touch.

And then, um, the master grade of the Joshua Roth product, as well as some of the other brands like Masakuni, is a stainless steel, and that's a hardened stainless steel, so you kind of get the best of both worlds of more corrosion resistance but still maintain a hardened edge, and those tend to be the most expensive.

Um, not necessarily because they're better or best, but just the material costs more, the process is a little bit more complicated, and then there's the side benefit of less corrosion.
