So formal question, like what have you learned from working in both the Canadian and U.S. roofing markets?

Yeah, that's a great question.

So the first thing that I've learned is that we are far more alike than we are different.

That's one thing I think the roofing organization, the fundamentals of running a successful roofing company do not change at the border.

Good leadership matters.

You got to have accurate estimating processes, planning matters, communications, safety for sure.

Safety is a huge part of the roofing industry.

Have you noticed anything else that makes the Canadian roofing industry unique?

What are you seeing?

Well, there's a lot of trends that are happening, and roof coatings are running into a lot of problems, and they're fighting it on a high level where insurance companies don't want to include coating in the mix as far as restoration, which I don't personally agree with.

But the other problem that's coming out now, the new building codes that are popping up in Florida, of course, on a new building code, it becomes very clear that coating is being considered a roof covering.

And when coating is considered a roof covering, that takes a lot of options away.

So that's a whole new navigation we're just starting to work on.

The other thing on a national level is for sure, the roofing contractors are being separated out of the mix from being able to deal directly with insurance claims, which you are here in Florida.

You got to have your public adjusters got to be separate from a roofing contractor.
