But tell us about your charter amendments that you sponsored and I think all of you co-sponsored with.
14:04
Yep.
14:06
Both Liz and Peter sponsored both of my – charter amendments that are on the ballot.
14:11
So the first one is 24, which I referenced as the housing impact analysis.
14:15
And so, as opposed to an audit, which looks after the fact, this would look before any policy is passed that could have a direct and material impact on housing construction costs, on the county construction code, on potential land use opportunities, on the permitting process, anything that could have an impact on the cost of housing.
14:36
So that way, when policymakers move forward with the county council decides to move forward with whether to rezone this piece of land or whether to add this extra requirement to the permitting process they would have to assess how much it would actually impact the price of housing so and right now they're they seem to be doing it blind judging by how many impact fees they've recently passed and the restrictions on land uh around ridgefield and those other areas so those will definitely have a negative impact on the price of housing and they can pretend and hide behind the word affordable as much as they want but these things are directly not making housing affordable
18:55
Yes,

this is by far the most controversial one, at least in terms of people writing letters to the editor of the Columbian, and it even has a PAC challenging it.
