And I've always been... interested in tech right now i'm going to be honest right being a being a an adolescent guy right it's more about the sex and the the other aspects of this and in the tech was that it was an interesting kind of portal for me like you know i'm just going to be honest about it um but uh the idea of like cyberspace and you're loading into an environment and everything like this was compelling to me like it seemed like the direction that we were going to go but it didn't seem so far off like it like it just seemed like a normal leap versus some of the other sci-fi that i was reading at the time more rocket ships spaceship were colonizing other planets and stuff like this that felt more like future future future state this felt more just like near future kind of thing right which i couldn't really appreciate as an adolescent guy but you know the internet was around enough i had aol i'd seen i'd heard of the movie hackers i don't think i'd seen it yet and stuff like that that this idea that this is going to grow and this was going to be something we were going to move into okay i can get behind that right and um you know so read it probably two or three times because I was kind of like, oh, wow, this is really interesting.
