So it's there, and it does its own thing, and I critique it.

Well, Todd, to be honest with you, I wasn't there and I haven't seen anything in the media about it.

I think that passions are running high on this issue of how long should the president have more or less absolute power in this.

We all know that the president can initiate action because Oftentimes, there's not enough time to go through Congress and get consent.

But we know that over time, there needs to be questions asked about should there be some limits? Of course, Congress, in a significant conflict, really like this one where there's a lot of expenditure involved, There has to be cost, new cost and more appropriation.

But it sounds like things got fixed because they did go back and vote again and apparently gave President Trump the ability.

I think the big question in the minds of a lot of voters and really the way it's being framed nationally, whether it's fair or not, is, you know, who is going to be the Trump conservative? Who is going to be that America first conservative in the Senate runoff? How do you respond to that?

Right.

It means that it doesn't work, and it never will work.

And so Obama dumped millions and millions, uh, really, uh, billions of dollars into that.

But then along came something else that I only learned about a little over a year ago called carbon capture and sequestration.

Now, this should not be confused with carbon capture for the purposes of enhanced oil recovery, and it's actually been used for other things as well.

And again, capturing carbon is basically capturing the CO2 from the industrial process, whether it's processing oil and gas or whatever, manufacturing, all these different things.

And, and then what you do with it, of course, matters.

The whole thing, John, is an exercise in absolute lunacy.

I have,

and I'll mention to you that, as you know, I served eight years in the House of Representatives.

I was one of the founders of the House Freedom Caucus.

We consider ourselves kind of the forerunners of the MAGA movement, which was all brought together, of course, by President Trump.

I was one of the first congressmen in 2016 to endorse President Trump.

Good for you.

And I served all four years of his administration after Congress.

Didn't he just postpone it until y'all are figuring out what to do with the congressional maps? Where does

suddenly became she's not for it now you were for carbon capture stuff years ago are you against it now because

no no i never have been no that's a claim that that that they make i voted for traditional energy bills when i was in congress None of them contained anything having to do with carbon sequestration.

Carbon sequestration is a new technology.

It's still experimental.

The first injection well has not even been drilled yet.

It didn't come along until well after I left Congress.

But they want to make it out as though I did because another concept called carbon capture technology, And enhanced oil recovery, which has been around for 100 years, is how you sweep out the last 15%.

You're saying that's two different kinds of carbon capture, like there's two different kinds of Hodgkin's lymphoma or whatever.

What-- W- how-- Do you think that Washington really wants to go back to a business that predates Trump?

Well, I-- You know, the thing about President Trump is he's a, he's an innovator.

He's a problem solver, and he does it in very unique ways.

And he showed us that we can use some of the tools that we learn in business.

I'm, I'm also a businessman as well as a doctor.

I, I still have three hundred and fifty employees.

And I, I watch what President Trump does, and I relate to it very well because sometimes you attack a problem, but then you decide the next step later.

Right.
