And how did you get involved, and what did you experience that made you want to kind of go deeper?

Hey, thanks, Chris, and a great question.

If I could go back and just say how honored I was to be able to serve our nation's military for 30 years.

And as I was transitioning out, a lot of people asked me, what's your passion? What do you want to do next? And one of the things that I found myself saying is that I want to get involved in youth programs.

A lot of that stems from me being an immigrant, being a club kid at the Boys and Girls Club of Fullerton.

And knowing the kind of impact that mentors and programs like that could help kids like me.

And so serendipitously, I attended a road trip club meeting and someone said, you know what, you need to meet Julie who dash.
