What problems kept coming up that made you think, "There's gotta be a better, different way"?

Well, you know, I've, I thought we were a pretty sophisticated firm.

I mean, I was an IBM-er, and so I was selling technology, so I was bringing as much tech as possible into my own management company.

Um, and one thing I saw very quickly is I, I think at the time we had 11...

I had 30 employees, and 11 of them were, uh, property managers, right? We had a bunch of assistants, but those 11 property managers all had professional designations, and what I learned was they each had their own portfolio.

We did, it was called portfolio management.

And I learned that every one of them was doing pet policy management a little bit differently.

How has PetScreening changed the way your property managers approach pets in housing?

You get the scars, the wars.

You do, yeah.

And you know, kind of the exits and the workarounds that residents and tenants will try to do to pull a quick one.

And, you know, after doing it for a while, I wanted to create a platform that would just help the industry better manage pet policies and of course, assistance animals.

And so when we left that office back in 2000, and I think we were visiting her in probably 2019.

So it was I launched in 17.

This was fast forward 19.

Oh, say they fill that void, right?

As far as I know, we cannot ask them like, hey, can you prove, send us like proof of it? You're not allowed to ask that, correct?

That is correct.

Yeah.

For service animals, believe it or not, no evidence or proof is needed or even allowed to be asked for.

That's an ADA thing.

That's not an Airbnb thing.

That's the law.

So now the host is allowed to question it.
