John, would you like to introduce yourself?

John AlperGUEST
be here with you guys i have been listening to you and really appreciate what you're doing i feel and hear the the intelligence and the awareness of what's going on in our country in the world right now uh with you guys and i'm really like like proud of what you're doing and happy happy that you're doing it because i think it's so important that we maintain a positive outlook during this time i remember when i got politically involved was during the vietnam war i was in college i had a very low draft number 23 actually and so if i didn't go to medical school or i didn't flee to canada you know there was a good chance i was going to get drafted But it wasn't just personal preservation that got me involved.

John AlperGUEST
I knew some people who had gone to Vietnam, not many, because in my college, I went to Williams College in Massachusetts, grew up in Washington, DC.

John AlperGUEST
So I had a couple of older friends who went to Vietnam and missed a couple years at school.
