I am a program manager at Michelle's Place Cancer Resource Center.

It's a center here in Southern California, and we service clients who have been impacted by cancer, their family members, loved ones, and help them navigate through the journey.

I've been at Michelle's Place for about nine months in my position.

Before that, I was a volunteer, and that volunteer opportunity was because I had cancer myself.

I was diagnosed with cancer two years ago, and that support, that non-clinical support, was instrumental in getting me through recovery, getting me through the treatments mentally, emotionally, everything.
