So first of all, quick fact check.

In fact, it's the reason that Speaker Johnson sent everyone home so soon, because it looked like he was either going to have the votes to actually impeach Hegseth, or at the very least, he didn't want to force his members into a hard vote to defend the Iran war and what Hegseth said to the military before the election.

So One of the first votes that they have after the election is going to be whether or not to impeach Pete Hegseth, and that's going to be under Republicans' watch, and it might actually succeed.
