And he said to me, the magician, how much money do you have? And I said, between my grandpa and birthday and whatever, I have a total of $12.

Everything I had in the world.

He said, give me your money and I'll show you what you bought.

I don't think I've heard a more direct close.

I was a magician as a kid, and I think it was from insecurity.

Grandfather walked me into a magic store, and the first words out of the magician's mouth, Jack Shannon, were, "How much money do you have?" And I said, "$12," and I was about seven years old.

And it was money given to me, you know, obviously your birthday, whatever.

He said, "Give me your money, and I'll tell you what you bought." What a close.

So I hand him my money, 12 bucks.

It was a lot of money then.
