If elected, what are the first two or three things you would like to accomplish as sheriff?

Well, you know, when I went around, I went around on a meet and greet tour last fall and early this winter.

And one of the big things I want to accomplish is bring 24-hour patrol coverage to McDonough County.

Currently, they don't have it.

There's a gap there of about... four or five hours in which there's no patrol coverage in the county, and I believe the residents of McDonough County deserve to have 24-hour coverage.

I also would update some policies, some policies that I think are critical, use of force policy.

I would update the pursuit policy, you know, as well as... you know, looking at all of their policies and procedures and just trying to make sure that they're, you know, update for the current stance of law enforcement.

How do you plan to build and maintain positive relationships between the sheriff's office and the communities it serves?
