Uh, and so you guys are certainly spearheading moving forward with all of that, and, and I, I think that just speaks to, um, not just the dedication to the employee, but dedication to your patients, dedication to the service that you guys are providing throughout the entire state of Maine, and, uh, I, I love to hear that you guys have been able to kind of make that transition.

Yeah, I mean, I'd, I'd like to, if I could, add a little bit more color to it, and what I would say is the model that we adopted is probably not the right model for everybody.

I mean, it's predicated in the fact that our, our crews do have the same job description across disciplines.

Um, but, you know, Veronica's absolutely right, and what, what I saw when she met me in that, that entryway, it, it moved me in a way that I can probably not give justice to.

I'm a paramedic by training as well.

Um, I will never be as cool as the paramedics that fly in helicopters, um, though maybe someday I'll aspire to that.

But, you know, I, I came up through the ground world and, um, you know, did, did 911 ground EMS for a while, and what I saw was I saw a nursing colleague advocating for paramedics in a way that I had never, ever witnessed, and it, it just, it was unbelievable that the biggest voices for making sure that the paramedics were taken care of were actually not the paramedics.

Mm-hmm.

So we wanted to do something

about it.

And what we chose to do is build a system internally.

I don't know if you've seen the show Ted Lasso or folks that have, but this concept of Dr. Sharon, where they hired this behavioral health professional to support the soccer team.

In talking about this, we eventually just kind of said, why don't we try the Dr. Sharon model? Why don't we hire somebody full-time that can support our people? And this idea has evolved over time.

So we hired somebody.
