But I never listened to them
8:47
...
8:47
I don't, I don't think that's on you, though.
8:48
I think that is, it, this is exactly why we can have this conversation.
8:51
I think everyone...
8:52
I think music is nationalized.
8:54
Not necessarily you, you don't only listen to bands from the UK or from the US, but, but where you are really controls the music you have access to, even in this global world.

Hmm
22:41
What about your origin story for Polymath? So how did Polymath
22:45
come about? Well, Polymath, it was like a side project, really.
22:50
Our guitarist, Tim, he's my favourite musician I've ever met.
22:57
And he was a good friend before, but I was always in awe of the music that he made in various genres.
23:04
bands like uh he was in last days of lorca 129 dying jet these were all like incredible bands for me when i was younger and he's a drummer first he's also left-handed and drums left-handed and also plays guitar upside down so he's strings from high to low wow and tunes in fifth so it's very difficult to like work out what he's doing at any given time but he's a drummer first so he was drumming in the band monsters build mean robots and he just wanted to play guitar on some stuff so he asked uh me and the the drummer crispy if we do you know some sort of messing around in the studio making some fun stuff without any not trying to be anything not trying to go anywhere just trying to have fun and and do a band so you know just do a rehearsal band and then uh monsters build mean robots were booked for i think the first ever arctangent festival in 2013 And there was like a dropout, a band had dropped out on the Bixla stage who were opening.
24:04
And we kind of knew the guys at Arc Tangent.
24:06
And James from Arc Tangent asked, you know, he was like, Tim, here you've got this other band.
