Now, was there ever a moment that you paused and said, "I'm actually on Enola Holmes"?
8:52
Yeah, every day.
8:52
[laughs] Every single day, I think.
8:56
Every single day I would get to that trailer and make sure that like, "Am I supposed to be in here? Yes, it does say Joe.
9:01
Yes, it is Joe's trailer." Um, yeah.
9:03
I mean, it was, I think it, you know what? The, it, I came into the role quite quickly.
9:08
It was quite a quick casting process from before.

Joe Azzopardi, take the floor.

From a browse to a bike ride, this summer, find more on Facebook.
11:12
Well, Phil, the director, was the main one.
11:15
I mean, Phil's the one who cast me in the role.
11:17
Phil was the one that kind of believed in me from day one.
11:19
So I owe him so much.
11:20
And honestly, he is such an amazing director.
11:23
He's just he's so nurturing of his actors.
13:41
Is the work different? You know, if I'm doing a television show, if I'm doing a movie, if I'm with Jason Statham, which is a very different script than, you know, Midsummer Night's Dream, is the behind the scenes work that you do on your own different? Does it vary?
18:28
And you obviously came to this as well with a leadership perspective from your work with the church.
18:37
Yes, yes.
18:38
And also with teaching as well, I should mention, having been a teacher in... medium-sized schools, there were times where I was under leaders who did not take advantage of the diverse thinking of their staff or staff who actually were good in different fields, but didn't allow the diversity of thought to help the school to become better.
19:10
But yes, in churches, there was quite a bit of that when you have the progressive versus traditional points of view.
19:18
And a lot of it is tied, not all of it, but a lot of it is tied to when and where did someone grow up? Because a generation is actually a subculture, So what I found with the diversity piece is we are much better together.
19:43
And when you have multiple perspectives, it can actually help you to have a clear picture of what reality actually is and how to problem solve.
19:54
When you talk to engineers, they really love hearing me come in because often engineers struggle with the relational bit, but they fully understand being able to see different perspectives because in their line of work, they're problem solvers.

13 MINS LATER

32:42
So, Joe, that would take me then to how do you see this idea playing out day to day in leadership?
11:11
She seems like a wonderful young lady, by the way.
11:13
She is amazing to work with, honestly.
11:16
And I'm not just talking about as an actress.
11:18
Obviously, she's a phenomenal actress.
11:20
The whole world knows that.
11:21
But she's also an incredible filmmaker.
11:24
She's just...
12:47
And what do you play? What character do you play in this, Joe?
2:54
For those who may be meeting you for the first time, tell us a little bit about your journey from Malta to becoming an internationally recognized actor.
3:05
Well, I mean, growing up in Malta, I kind of feel like I grew up in a bit of a Neverland over there.
3:12
You know, Malta was fairly undiscovered back then.
3:14
It was very raw and rustic.
3:17
And there weren't many acting opportunities when I was growing up.
3:21
I was fortunate that I didn't sound like many of the Maltese because my mother's from England, so I was half Maltese, half English.
3:28
As you can tell by my accent, it kind of gave me a bit more of an English-y sounding accent, which really worked well for starting out on the Maltese stage because I kind of had a bit of an edge over anyone.
8:01
What can you tell us about him without giving away spoilers?
