So how do we square that with our net zero goals? Is this a contradiction or is there actually something there to resolve? It's a bit of a tough thing, right? Yeah.

It is, yeah, because no doubt AI infrastructure has a growing environmental footprint and that will continue.

And the growth of the environmental footprint of data and AI centers is huge.

And they are growing faster than every other sector.

Just to put it into perspective, we also need to be clear that there are other sectors who have a by far larger footprint.

And that's also then where we're coming to the, is it a contradiction that we can resolve? Looking into industry or in the whole transportation sector, the footprint of that sector is X-fold high as data centers, even with the projections then in 2030 or so.

And of course, the second aspect, because you also said it rightfully so, we cannot only focus on energy consumption.

So what is the handprint? How does it compare to the footprint? And why does it matter?
