The audio book was fun because they did the like fun little static and weird like folksy host voice that would come in for the rules of the road um but i would say it's fridge like some of them are some of the stories are more intense than others um it was fun that is rules of the road by cb jones
37:18
that sounds that sounds nice that sounds like a good one to listen to while you're driving too if you're like on a road trip it's a good pick Okay, my first one is Kill Radio by Lauren Bolger which came out in 2023 from Malarkey Books.
37:34
In Kill Radio, we have one of the best things ever to me at least which is a ragtag crew I absolutely love ragtag crew, sort of like construction and narrative.
37:46
So in the center of our crew.
37:47
is mom Rochelle and her son Rory and then uh we've got and now it's been a few months since I have read this so I can't remember if he is a fisherman but he is like a fisherman let's just say he exudes fisherman energy he is surly regardless of his occupation but we have this guy named Stanton And then we have a weird but charming kind of like floater guy named James, who also happens to be, it is revealed, a wizard.
38:15
And then Shell's best friend, Gaia.
38:17
And they are all kind of pulled together for this like singular purpose when Rory unearths his dad's old crystal radio, which those are like, you can buy like crystal radio kits and you can make them yourself, which actually sounds really fun.

Yeah, Christine by relative newcomer Stephen King.
43:51
Yeah.
43:51
Yeah, very unsettling.
43:53
Um, okay, so my next book, and I- apologies on pronunciation of names here, [laughs] so this is Ghost Radio by Leopoldo Gout, or Gout? Unsure.
44:07
I am very sorry about that.
44:09
Um, so w- in Ghost Radio, which I feel like Ghost Radio's been talked about quite a bit, and folks know about it, but we're following Joaquin, who is the host of a Mexican late-night radio program, Ghost Radio, where folks will call in and share their supernatural experiences, and that sounds awesome.
44:26
We love a radio show like that.
44:29
Um, his career is really taking off when we are dropped into the book, but he is a guy with a pretty intense past that starts to really, like, bubble back up, and, um, I'm gonna say get in the way.

10 MINS LATER

54:15
