What were some of the conversations you were having at that time? You know, what were the worries and the concerns and the things that made it a good idea and maybe not so good idea?

I think there were many things around the future life that we wanted and we envisaged that made it a good idea.

So we'd been through periods where Derry had been working for Bain and was travelling a lot and was away a lot.
2:29
So we knew what that felt like.

I'd had a fairly full on job at John Lewis and was travelling a bit with that and we knew what that pressure felt like and we found ourselves with four small children which was a genuine juggle and really quite demanding when they're all so small and we just wanted to experience that for ourselves and also be be there for them and be able to manage that juggle.

So practically being able to work flexibly and being around more was a real positive.

and there's loads of different ways you can do that you can get like the basic level you can get into things like personality profiling and just understanding like joe's referenced it earlier of like me being blue her being more yellow and an insights discovery color wheel type thing through to therapy and getting feedback and coaching and having people hold that mirror up for you through to like much deeper work around like deep shadow work and behavioral therapy and that type of things that is the real unlock like even just moving on that journey a little bit is super powerful that we call it the inner game and it's true for everybody and the more awareness of that you can bring then the easier all of this stuff is to navigate without blowing yourselves up
